[Photo of Benjamin Graber]Benjamin Graber, M.D., neuroscientist and noted researcher on the neuropsychological aspects of sexual behavior, orgasms, and female sexuality, is author of Woman's Orgasm and numerous scholarly journal articles including "Brain Structure and Function in Sexual Molesters of Children and Adolescents" and "Demystifying Sex Therapy".

In the 60's and 70's Dr. Graber used an alias, Dr. Strawberry, to answer questions and write articles on women's orgasm issues. You can see more about this here.

Dr. Graber wrote for underground newspapers then got a lot more sophisticated and moved into a high rise in Marina Del Rey, lost the hippie image and started wearing the white coats etc. He wrote for Playboy, PlayGirl, wrote Woman’s Orgasm. Left successful practice to go back and become a psychiatrist, followed by 25 years as sex professor and researcher including time with folks like Masters and Johnson and lots of other interesting human sex experiments.

Dr. Graber says that his work focused on "how the sexual system was wired," and he tracked studies and sources "from one bibliography to another, to another" and his wide-ranging searches yielded a wealth of materials, many of which are obscure and difficult to obtain.

Benjamin Graber retired from his work at the University of Nebraska School of Medicine, after some 30 years of research and writing on the neurobiology of sexual behavior. Dr. Graber had amassed an extensive and unique set of research materials in the field.

This extraordinary collection spans the 1960s to the 1990s, and comprises research files with more than 6,000 reprints or copies of papers, as well as textbooks, graduate theses, conference proceedings, and more than 500 books. Dr. Graber has researched materials from major medical journals all over the world in the neuropsychological aspects of male and female sexuality.

Dr. Graber is a contributor to the highly respected Kinsey Institute. The mission of The Kinsey Institute is to promote interdisciplinary research and scholarship in the fields of human sexuality, gender, and reproduction. (http://www.indiana.edu/~kinsey/).

Dr. Graber has recently added Playwright to his resume. As a playwright he has co-authored the one act play, Snipped, performed locally during the 2006 Shelterbelt Instant Play Festival and is scheduled to be produced again locally in March 2007 at Revolutions at the PS Collective. You can see one of his one act plays here.
